The Amarantos Traditional House is a carefully restored traditional house, located in the very center of Apollona Village, in the mountainous inland of Rhodes.
With revealed stonework, a roadside yard with a beautiful mosaic, the exterior of the house boasts a series of traditional features like the small fountain, a small candle – a homage to the builders – and two beautifully stone-framed doors.
When entering the house you are welcomed to a spacious dining area, with a fully equipped kitchen, including an oven, a full-size fridge, and a dining table. All the necessary cutlery and dishware is at your disposal for experimenting with local cuisine.
The original wooden sofas have been preserved, with their carvings and original coloring, feature two levels, with comfortable matresses to accomodate two younger guests.
The room also features the bathroom with a shower, but also closet and a washing machine. The room is air-conditioned.
Every corner reflects the island’s rich history, from the beautifully arranged ceramic plates adorning the walls to the handcrafted mirror draped with a delicate mantilla. A finely woven traditional piece framed with care, rustic clay jars, and original wooden furniture complete the warm and inviting ambiance.
The second room, with its own entrance, features a large traditional “sofas” with a double size bed, and the living area, full with a fireplace.
The room also has a smart tv and air-conditioning. The comfortable sofa in the living area, can also be used as an extra bed.
